Lietuva — Lithuania

How Buronia complies with Lithuania's data-protection framework on top of GDPR.

Primary national law

Lietuvos Respublikos asmens duomenų teisinės apsaugos įstatymas (ADTAĮ)
(Law on Legal Protection of Personal Data (ADTAĮ))

Buronia processes your personal data as a controller under GDPR Art. 4(7). When you submit a benefit application via Buronia to a Lithuania authority, the authority becomes the controller from receipt onward; we transfer the data on your behalf and explicit instruction (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)) and retain it for 30 days as audit material before deletion.

Supervisory authority

Valstybinė duomenų apsaugos inspekcija (VDAI)
(State Data Protection Inspectorate (VDAI))
https://vdai.lrv.lt/

You have the right to lodge a complaint with this authority at any time (GDPR Art. 77). Use this link to file directly: https://vdai.lrv.lt/lt/skundu-pateikimas.

What this means for you concretely

  • Data minimization (GDPR Art. 5(1)(c)): we only ask for fields that the Lithuania authority itself requires on the application form. We never ask for background data we don't need to draft your reply.
  • Encryption at rest: sensitive fields (national ID numbers, IBAN, disability status) are encrypted in our database using AES-256-GCM. See our security page.
  • Right to erasure (GDPR Art. 17): request deletion of your data at any time by emailing dpo@buronia.com. We will confirm the deletion within 30 days.
  • Right of access (GDPR Art. 15): we will export everything we hold about you in a portable JSON within 30 days of a written request.
  • Data Protection Officer: Victor Cheng — dpo@buronia.com.

Where your data lives

Buronia operates servers in the European Economic Area (Hetzner data centers, Germany and Finland). No personal data is transferred to countries that lack an adequacy decision under GDPR Art. 45. AI processing of your draft is handled by Anthropic (Claude); the provider operates under a GDPR-compliant DPA with Standard Contractual Clauses for any sub-processing.

Other countries

Buronia operates in: Germany · Spain · Finland · Lithuania · Security & certificates.

Private Buronia help — not a government service. Buronia is a private company helping people draft benefit applications. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operating on behalf of any government, ministry, or public authority. The official application must be submitted by you to the relevant authority. Use of our service is optional — every benefit listed can be applied for free of charge directly with the authority.
